Chestnut Hill Center is dedicated to the character and intellectual development of men. The Christian orientation of its activities is entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal prelature of the Catholic Church (www.opusdei.org).
The mission of Opus Dei is to help people turn their work and daily activities into occasions for growing closer to God, for serving others, and for improving society.
“Your institution [Opus Dei] has as its aim the sanctification of one’s life, while remaining within the world at one’s place of work and profession: to live the Gospel in the world, while living immersed in the world, but in order to transform it, and to redeem it with one’s personal love for Christ. This is truly a great ideal…” Pope John Paul II
For more information about Opus Dei, see the Opus Dei website at www.opusdei.org.

The Edge helps young men see their high school years from the viewpoint of their entire life. It encourages them to develop now the skills and attitudes they will need for the great tasks awaiting them: forming a family, serving society through their work, developing friendships with colleagues, neighbors and God. Through a combination of classes, career presentations, and one-on-one mentoring, it teaches them to be men of character who are ready for responsibility.
