Frontiers and Horizons, the father and son clubs at Chestnut Hill, initiated the new season on September 23 by hitting some local hiking trails. Frontiers hiked the trails and climbed Mt. Noanet at Noanet Woods in Dover. Horizons took on a more challenging day. They climbed Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire. Both groups enjoyed the outings and got to meet new families.
Both Frontiers and Horizons reconvene in October at the Center for monthly activities. They include talks on character development for the boys, talks on aspects of fatherhood for the fathers, and joint father-son activities. Quite a few boys and dads have signed up. Both programs are filled for the year.
Frontiers is for boys in first to fourth grades and their dads. Horizons is for boys in fifth to seventh grades and their dads.
